If you have not set your preferences yet, open the dialog box Preferences [Ctrl+K] and make your choices. In the movie I choose my personal preferences, while you should have your own. However, I strongly recommend two things:
1. Maximize (up to 1000) number of history states that can be stored in the History palette.
2. Choose the brush size cursors for the painting tools, so that you always know where your brush's edges are.
