Candy Effect

1. I was asked how to do this effect. This Tutorial will show you the technique how you can create something like this.

Candy Effect Tutorial: Final Result

2. Create a new document 1024 to 768 pixel.. File-New.

3. Fill the background with black and create a new layer. Take the Radial Gradient Tool and create a sphere.

4. Important! Now switch the blending mode of the Gradient Tool to lighten.

5. Make several spheres like I've done. Look at the pic on the right! If you like you can apply the plastic effect. (Filter-Artistic-Plastic Warp) This time I renounce this effect.

6. Now go to Filter-Distort-Wave and use this settings.

7. After that go to Filter-Distort-Shear and use this settings.

8. In order to colorize your image just go to Image-Adjustments-Hue/Saturation.

9. Now a small trick J. Copy this Layer and apply the Glowing Edges Effect (Filter-Stylize-Glowing Edges - Custom Settings) After that switch the Blending mode to Overlay. Nice result huh? :-)

10. You're ready. Merge the Layers together and copy the merged Layer several times. Play around with Hue/Saturation (Image-Adjustments-Hue/Saturation) and the Layer Blending mode. Be creative! And have fun.
