Hidden Images in Internet Explorer (Exclusive Tutorial)

Please note: The result of this tutorial can be viewed with Internet Explorer only.

Have you ever seen pictures that change or appear in new ways while opening in Internet Explorer and selecting them?

For example:

Select image or press Ctrl+a (Internet Explorer only)

In this short tutorial I'll teach you the technique for making such pictures yourself. The technique is very simple; however, in order to attain great results it is necessary to work a bit.

1. Open 2 pictures and crop them in such a way so that they are similar in size (or from the beginning take two pictures which are already of the same size).

2. Place the pictures one atop the other using layers.

3. Create a new image, having the size 2px x 2px, with a background which is transparent.

4. Draw two black points atop this image, along the diagonal (the upper left and lower right points).

5. Create a new pattern (Edit>Define Pattern...).

6. Returning to our picture, let's add a transparent layer from the top.

7. Fill this in with newly added Pattern (Edit>Fill>Use Pattern>Custom Pattern).

8. Click on this layer with pressed Ctrl.

9. Select the layer with the first picture and press Del.

10. Invert the selection (Select>Invert Selection or Ctrl+Shift+I).

11. Select the layer with the second picture and press Del.

12. Delete layer with pattern

13. Save the result (save with the best quality, because it is necessary to save the strictest conformity of pixels)

That's all! But it does not always work – the more experience you gain, the better your results will be.

A few tips:

It's extremely preferable to choose pictures having similar colors and brightness.

You should try to adjust (Ctrl+U, Ctrl+L) the image which appears during the separation process in order to ensure that it is less visible on the image before the separation of the two pictures occurs.
