Motion Blurred Shape


1. Make a 400x400 document. Now press "D" on your keyboard to reset the foreground and background colors to black and white. Make sure your background is black.

2. Make a new layer and grab the custom shape tool. Use this Custom Shape I used or experiment with a different one:

Hold shift to make a perfect shape size. Once done making the shape on the new layer we want to go to Select>Load Selection.

With the shape selected we can now apply Filter>Render>Clouds. You can now deselect the selection. Go to Filter>Sketch>Chrome and use these settings:

3. Apply some color now (Ctrl+U):

Duplicate the layer and set the duplicated layer blending mode to Color Dodge:

Press Ctrl+E to merge the 2 layers together. Right Now you already got a cool looking graphic.

But it can be even more cooler if we added some blur to it to give it more of a abstract feel to it. So go to Filter>Blur>Radial Blur and once again use these settings:
