Before we get started you'll need to gather up a few pieces below:
Photoshop Brushes:
Blood and Ink Brushset 1 - download
Strokes and Splatter Brushset - download
Hyper Brushset - download
Images:
Snowboarder - download
Step 1
Open a new document in Photoshop 1920 pixels wide and 1200 pixels high. Fill the "Background" layer with the color #330839.
Step 2
Open the picture of the "Snowboarder". Using the Pen Tool trace a path around the outer edge of the snowboarder. Right click on the path and choose "Make Selection". Press Ctrl+J to copy the selection to a new layer.
Drag the new "snowboarder" layer into our composition. Name the layer "snowboarder".
Step 3
With the "snowboarder" layer selected press Ctrl+T to select the Transform Tool. Scale the size of the image up and place it in the lower right hand corner of the canvas.
Step 4
Load both the "Blood and Ink Brushset 1" and the "Strokes and Splatter Brushset".
With the "snowboarder" layer selected press Ctrl+J to copy the layer. Press "V" to select the Move Tool and offset the copied image up and to the left from the first one.
With the copied layer selected apply a layer mask. Fill the entire layer mask with black. Choose a foreground color of white and paint over the area where you placed the copied snowboarder to unmask select areas.
Step 5
Select the "snowboarder" layer and press Ctrl+J four times to make four copies of the layer. Starting with the "snowboarder copy2" layer move the image up and to the left. Repeat the same process for the remaining copied layers.
Select the "snowboarder copy 5" layer and Shift+click on the "snowboarder copy 2" layer to select all four copies. Press Ctrl+E to merge the layers.
Repeat the same masking process performed in the previous step.
Step 6
Repeat Step 5, except this time move the copied snowboarders up and to the right.
Repeat the same masking technique used in the previous two layers.
Step 7
Select the "snowboarder" layer and press Ctrl+J to copy the image to a new layer. With the new layer selected press Ctrl+T to select the Transform Tool. Increase the size of the snowboarder by dragging one of the corners out.
Load the "Hyper Brushset" and repeat the same masking technique used in the last three steps with the Hyper Brushes. Use several different Hyper Brushes to unmask areas around the snowboarders head.
Change the Blend Mode to Screen and apply an Outer Glow for a layer style. For the Outer Glow use a color of #4cf0fa, reduce the Opacity to 42%, give it a Spread of 1% and increase the size to 51px.

Step 8
Create a mask for the "snowboarder" layer. With a foreground color of black and a splatter brush mask the end of the snowboarders right hand.
Step 9
Above the "snowboarder" layer create a new layer and name it "motion streak". With the Polygonal Lasso Tool create a selection as seen in the example below and fill it with white.
With the "motion streak" layer selected press Ctrl+J four times to create four copies of the layer. Offset each copy to the right, moving two of the copies above the original and two copies below.
Select the "motion streak copy 4" layer and Shift+click on the "motion streak" layer selecting all five layers. Press Ctrl+E to merge the layers.
Apply a Radial Blur with the Amount set to 50 and the Blur Method set to Zoom.
Apply a Motion Blur with a Distance of a 150 pixels.
Press Ctrl+T to select the Transform Tool, rotate and position the motion streak as seen below.
Reduce the Opacity on the layer to 30%.
Step 10
Create a new layer above the "Background" layer and name it "cloud". With a foreground color of white and a background color of black go to: Filter>Render>Clouds.
Adjust the levels by pressing Ctrl+L or going to: Image>Adjustments>Levels. Crush the black by moving the black slider to the right.
Change the Blend Mode on the layer to Color Dodge.
Step 11
Create a new layer below the "cloud" layer and name it "black radial gradient". With a foreground color of black select the Gradient Tool and draw a radial gradient from the upper left corner down towards the lower right.
Step 12
With the Gradient Tool still selected create a new layer below the "black radial gradient" layer and name it "purple reverse radial gradient". Change the foreground color to #8b0489, check Reverse for the radial gradient and draw a reverse radial gradient from the upper left to the lower right. Change the Blend Mode on the layer to Difference.
Step 13
Create a new layer above the "cloud" layer and name it "snowboarder shadow". With the new layer selected Ctrl+click on the "snowboarder" layer to create a selection. Fill the selection with black and apply a Gaussian Blur with a radius of 48 pixels by going to: Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur.
Step 14
Next create four new text layers at the top of the layers. Use a san-serif font. Type the following text on individual layers, with the font size specified and arrange as seen below.
Font size: 150 pt.
Layer 1: type "Snow"
Layer 2: type "ing"
Font size: 48pt.
Layer 3: type "Bind"
Layer 4: type "Resolution"
Select the "Bind" layer and press Ctrl+T to select the Transform Tool. Rotate the "Bind" text counter-clockwise so it lines up with the "w" in "Snow" as seen in the first example below.
Scale the size of the text down slightly by using one of the upper corners, to about the size seen in the second example.

Using the right arrow key nudge both the "Snow" and the "Bind" layers towards the "ing" layer.
Step 15
While holding "Alt" click and drag the layer effects icon "fx" from the "snowboarder copy 2" layer to each of the text layers.
Reduce the Size of the Outer Glow to 10 pixels for the "Bind" and "Resolution" layers.
Reduce the Size of the Outer Glow to 40 pixels for the "Snow" and "ing" layers.
Step 16
Create a new layer below the "Snow" layer and name it "text splatter". With a foreground color of white select several different splatter brushes and paint around the text.
Step 17
Select the "snowboarder copy 5" layer just below the "snowboarder copy" layer and press Ctrl+J to copy the layer. Press "V" to select the Move Tool and move the new layer up and to the left.
Select the Brush Tool, with a foreground color of black, a soft brush and paint on the mask of the new layer to mask unwanted areas. Refer to the image below to see the areas which to mask.
Step 18
Create a new layer below the "black radial gradient" and name it "light blue radial gradient". With a foreground color of #65b8de select the Gradient Tool and draw a radial gradient from the center of the snowboarder out to about the middle of the text.
Step 19
Your finished! Add any additional text that you'd like to personalize it further. Save it, load it as your wallpaper or print out a copy for your bedroom wall and enjoy!
