Wrinkled Paper


image 1 1. Create a new document.

image 2 2. Select the Gradient tool (G) and apply these settings to the tool:

Gradient: Black, White
Style: Linear
Mode: Difference
Opacity: 100%


image 3 3. With the Gradient tool, randomly click and drag in different angles and lengths on the canvas.

image 4 4. Apply an Emboss filter (Filter> Stylize> Emboss). These are the settings I've used: Angle: -54°
Height: 3 pixels
Amount: 100%

image 5 5. Use the Brightness/Contrast tool (Image> Adjustments> Brightness/Contrast) to set the Brightness to +100.

image 6 6. If you want to change the color of the paper, use the Hue/Saturation tool (Ctrl+U) to colorize. These are the settings I've used for this step:

Hue: 0
Saturation: 50
Lightness: -50
