Marketing Your Website

Over Deliver

Here's a quote I like - "Once I had all the attention, all I had to do was deliver." Ethel Merman

You have their attention, they are at your web site, now what? For the most part, web visitor to your web site are not interested in you, only what you can provide them.Marketing Your Website

They need information to solve a question they may have, to solve a problem they may have. Content is one of the main keys to your marketing your web site.

Your visitors came to your web site for a reason, they still need a reason to stay, a reason to bookmark your web site and a reason to come back, make their visit worth their time, provide free focused content for them but, not just provide, not just deliver, over deliver!

You can also submit your content to Article Directories like Goarticles.com to draw in more visitors!

Your Website's Name

Your website name is the most important aspect to your marketing campaign, choose carefully, chose a name that is focused, one that relates to your product and to the web traffic that you're trying to attract. Choose a name that is easy to say, that is easy on the eyes. Don't defeat yourself before you even get started with an un-focused web site name.

If you cannot think of a name that is available, see if you can purchase one that is for sale. There are a number of Domain Name Marketplaces that offer domains for sale, two of which are: Flippa and Sedo.

Your Website

Is your web site focused on your selected subject matter? Does it drift into other areas that are not related to your web site or web site name? Have you focused your web site toward your product? Do you know what age group is visiting your web site? Is the content of your web site focused toward your visitors? Are the colors of your web site focused toward your visitors?

Your Website's Colors

Vision takes place in the brain. The pictures, the vibrant colors travel through the eyes into the brain and affect you emotions, your memories and your buying reactions. You need to be aware of how the colors on your website are affecting your visitors.

Are the colors you're using causing your visitors not to stay, not to buy, not to click, not to come back? Are you trying to get to visitors to actively buy while at the same time the colors of your website put them in a calm, peaceful mood?

I know it might be hard to change the 'cool' web site that is near and dear to your heart but, it is really worth it to have your web site, the one that visitors see, unfocused?
