Infrared Camera Effect


This tut will show you how you can add a infrared look to your photographs and images. Here is the image I am going to use:

First thing to do is to duplicate the layer (ctrl+J). This is mainly just incase you make a mistake and need to go back to the original image. Then take the gradient tool with these settings

Then apply the gradient vertically from the top of the image like this

Now go to Image>Adjustments>Channel mixer

Apply settings like this (remember this is a tutorial so feel free to change settings and experiment)

Now go to Filter>Distort>Diffuse Glow and apply settings similar to these

Now go to Filter>Texture>Grain and apply settings similar to these

If you feel that the image is too blurred then go to Filter>Sharpen>Sharpen edges(or sharpen) And that's all there is to it. I hope you learnt something from this tutorial. If it's hard to understand in certain places then say so....
