Create an Easy Bloody Wallpaper in Photoshop

On this tutorial we are going to learn how to work with Ajustment layers, and how they can help us make a background skin for a scary and bloody game for example. A very interesting result with just some Adjustment layers and a few layerstyles.

This is what we are going to create. We could use this example to do many things, such as a game skin, movie poster and so on.

Step 1

Open Photoshop and create a new document.

Step 2

Download this image. Import it to the document and scale it as you think it would be better.

Step 3

Now, to give it a look more dark, let's add some Adjustment Layers. Follow the instructions bellow.

Yes, it is the second Brightness/Contrast Adjustment Layer

Add a Solid Color Adjustment Layer with color #0e0606

Step 4

With the font Impact, type your text and center it on stage.

Step 5

Go to Filter and Liquify, or press Shift + CMD (control) + X. Liquify a little the text using the Forward Warp tool or simply press W. Click Ok when a popup window ask if you want to rasterize the layer.

Now, apply the following layerstyles.

Step 7

On the same layer add some drops of blood. We can easily do that if we use some brushes. Download this set of brushes and after importing it to photoshop, start painting.

With simple techniques we can easily reach great results, and this is one more.
