Grab an image and we'll begin the tutorial. You can click on the below image, of my bro, to download, to follow along with me.
Now lets give it some color. Go to the main menu and click on "Image" then "Adjust" and lastly "Photo Filter" Use the settings that I have below.
Your photo should now look like the below image.
Now create a new layer and draw a straight line across the image. This will be our crease. Now go to the main menu and select, "Edit", then "Free Transform". Rotate the line just a tad till you have what is illustrated below.
Next we will go to the main menu once again and select "Filter", then "Distort" and "Ripple". Use the settings below and click OK.
Now that you have created your line and have the proper placement, you can now right click on the line layer and select, "Blending Options...". Now click on "Bevel and Emboss".
Do not click OK yet... still more to do.
Now click on "Contour".
Do not click OK yet... still more to do.
Now click on "Color Overlay ".
You may now click OK.
Your photo should now look like the below image.
The Results!!!
I have added a darker line to the crease for more of a effect. Be creative. Click the below image to see the photo in its entirety.
