Increase contrast and saturation without overexposing the image.

1. Open the image for editing. |

2. Dupliate the current layer (Ctrl+J) and set the new layer's blending mode to "Vivid Light". |

3. Add a layer mask (Layer> Add Layer Mask> Reveal All) to the new layer. |

4. With the layer mask selected, use the "Apply Image" tool to apply the following properties:

Click OK. |

5. Rollover the image on the left of this step to see the original image before this technique was applied. |
