What's up Photoshop people!, In this tutorial we're going to make a really nice Goth Make Up, and we?re going to add some vamp wings too - enjoy!
First of all I'm going to give you a file with a 4-wings brush set, so you can choose the one you like most,download it here.
(If you don't know how to install the brush follow this few steps)
Loading the Brush in Photoshop:
Now that you have download the Wings Brush Set and placed it in your chosen directory just select your Brush Tool.
Then click on the down arrow on the Brush Options bar...
Now click the little right arrow and select the Load Brushes Option, and now just browse for your File with the Brush Set on your Hard Drive.
And! Voila the Wings Brush Set is there by now.
Step 1:
Choose the photo you want to use for this really cool Goth Make Up-Wings montage - remember the size or quality is not a problem here.
Step 2:
Ok, first we're going to fix a little the colors of the photo.
Go to Image > Adjustments > Selective Color.
Select the BLACKS and choose +100%.
Now, grab your brush tool, and select White.
Press Ctrl + Shift + N to make a new layer, call it "Background".
Change your new layer Blending Mode, choose HUE.
Now Start to fill all the background.
Make sure you don't miss anything.
Press Ctrl + Shift + E (to merge the layers) -now it's all in the background layer.
Once you?ve merge, go to Image > Adjustments > Hue / Saturation.
Desaturate the photo, this settings are just a reference.
Make the photo look like this:
Ok, now we're done with the colors, lets star getting the Goth Make Up-Wings!
Step 3:
Grab your brush tool again, this time with Black.
Press Ctrl + Shift + N , to make a new layer, call it, "eyes"
Fill the eyes line like this:
(Always remember to set the master diameter and hardness option, we use the brush like this, but depending on your photo, you'll have to set the values)
Now change your layer's opacity, choose 75%
Yeah! It will look like this now.
Step 4:
Make two new layers, (Ctrl + Shift + N) call one "wing 1" and the other "wing 2"
Select the brush tool again with black, and select the brushes you've download.
Choose the wings you like more, change the Master Diameter and make the wing fit in the character.
Ok, now put the left wing in "wing 1" and the right wing in "wing 2"
Place each wing well, now select your wing 2 layer, make right click and choose "merge down"
Now change the opacity of your wings, put it in 50%
Grab your eraser tool and erase all the parts of the body that are interrupted with the wings. And return the opacity to 100%
Now, merge all (Ctrl + Shift + E) - and grab the Burn tool.
And make some shadows to all.
If you don't want to do this manual, you can use levels too (Ctrl + L)
Now, grab the dodge tool (right click to burn tool)
And make some highlights.
And Finally! Its done, hope you like it.
