High Key Glow


Add highlights to your photos giving them unique realistic high key glows.

1. Start by opening your image. I will use this one.

2. Duplicate the layer.

3. Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur.

4. Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options

Now here is where you can adjust the amount of highlights you want to add. Remember if you used a different image you may want the adjust the settings below to fit your image.

First lets start off by changing the blend mode to "screen".

Next under the "blend if" options first take the top left black slider and set it to 129.

While holding "Alt" grab the right side of the same slider drag that to about 200.

Now drag the bottom left black slider to about 22.

Again while holding "Alt" grab the right side of the same slider drag that to about 188.

When you done your settings should look like this.

Your final image should be quite different from the original (rollover the image to see the difference).
