Making Tatoo

It's a nice way to imitate tatoos. We gonna make a realistic painless tatoo in Adobe Photoshop! Open any photo in Photoshop:

I put some dragon's tatoos which are perfect for this lesson. You can go ahead and get other tatoo pictures on the internet.

Take Lasso tool and select your future tatoo:

Edit-Copy

Now make a new file: File-New and Edit-Paste:

We have to separate dragon from it's background. Take Magic Wand tool zoom in your picture and click on the background around the dragon. See that some areas are still not selected? To select them, hold Shift on your keyboard and click on the areas you want to select. I put red dots there:

When all the areas around the dragon are selected, go to Select-Inverse.

Now dragon is selected:

Let's copy our dragon: Edit-Copy.

Click on the picture where you want to place tatoo to activate it, and hit Edit-Paste.

Dragon needs to be moved, rotated and resized. Choose Move tool and right click on the dragon. In drop-down menu choose Free Transform.

Right click on the dragon one more time. You'll see a new menu. Choose: Scale; Rotate; Skew; Distort; Perspective; Warp depending on what you want to do with your tatoo.

Play around with these commands until you get what you want. (You couldn't find some of these commands in some old versions of Adobe Photoshop . Try to get Photoshop CS2).

Here is a final step to make this tatoo look more realistic. In layers window change tatoo layer's mode to Multiply:
