Create Colorful Coca Cola Bottle Using Adobe Illustrator

This tutorial is to guide you that how to create a colorful Coca Cola bottle using the unique color mixing mesh tool of Adobe Illustrator software. Please pay your great attention regarding the designing process step by step

Step 1

Open a new document in illustrator, 1024px width by 768px height. (File ? New, shortcut, Ctrl+N)

Step 2

Place an original image of a Coca Cola bottle in to the new document as below picture (File ? Place)

Step 3

For designing the outline of Coca Cola bottle firstly you should lock the layer of original image as first picture. After completing that, add a new layer according to the second picture.

Step 4

Firstly divide the placed picture in to two similar vertically parts using a guide line (you can add guide line clicking on the ruler bar (View ? Show Rulers, shortcut Ctrl +R) drag and drop relevant place) as this picture

Step 5

Then draw one part (half of the bottle) using pen tool (shortcut, P)

Then you can make a one part of the bottle like below

Step 6

Take a mirror copy of above drown part according to the method of following picture. (Object ? Transform ? Reflect) then you can see dialog box and it is changed axis vertically and click Copy. Then you can get mirror copy of a one part.

Then you can see like that complete bottle

Step 7

Now we try to join two part of the bottle. Select top nodes of two parts to join them as below (Object ? Path ? Join) Use same method to join bottom nodes Then you will see a surrounded complete bottle

Step 8

Take a copy of designed bottle and paste on itself of a new layer (Copy Ctrl+C, Paste Ctrl+F) Above part of the bottle from

Step 9

Add two nodes using add anchor point tool (shortcut, +) to remove the above part of the bottle from the highlighted line as below picture. After removing the above part draw a line to connect two nodes. Use pen tool (shortcut, P).

Now we try to design three parts of the bottle (Top, Middle and bottom)

Step 10

Now add a horizontal and vertical mesh lines as below picture. Using mesh tool (shortcut, U)

After select nodes using direct selection tool (shortcut, A) and after add relevant color clicking eyedropper tool (shortcut, I) on place of original image one by on

Then you can see like that picture

Step 12

You can see there is a black area as below picture. To design that part we add another mesh line and add color using similar method as above.

Then you can see like that picture.

Now we try to get a shape of the bottle

Step 13

Firstly add mesh line like above picture then adjust mesh line according to its shape using handle like below picture.

After add color using above method then you can see like that picture.

We add another several mesh lines to get a shape further more

Then you can see nice one like this

Now we try to make a middle part of the bottle

Step 14

Add mesh lines like below picture and add a color using above method

Then you can see like this one

Step 15

Now we add several mesh lines like below picture to get that shape and adjust the nodes using handle like above manner. After add color using eyedropper tool (shortcut, I)

Then you can shape your bottle like below picture.

You can shape coca cola bottle adding mesh lines and color like below picture.

Finally, you can see like that shape

Now we try to make a bottom part of the bottle

Step 16

Firstly add mesh lines like below pictures step by step and add color using above method.

After you can see like this picture.

You can shape bottom part further more using like below pictures.

Then you can see like this picture.

Now we complete three parts then you see like this bottle

Step 17

Now we try to make an upper part of the bottle. Firstly we draw upper part of the bottle like this using pen tool (shortcut, p).

After select middle part and add mesh line as below picture.

Step 19

Now add color using above method. And minimise a opacity selecting middle part and using opacity navigator bar like below picture.

Step 19

Firstly select this middle part and add blur effect using this method (Effect ? Blur ?Gaussian blur) then you can see dialog box and it is changed radius 1 px

Then you can see like this picture.

Step 20

Now we try to make an outer part Firstly we select that part and add some gradient effect like below. (Using gradient tool (shortcut, G))

Step 21

Finally we try to make nobe of the coca cola bottle For that we draw outline using pen tool (shortcut, p) and add mesh lines like below picture

After add color using eyedropper tool (shortcut, I) Then you can see like this picture

Now you can see nice complete coca cola bottle like below

Step 22

Finally we make coca cola logo Firstly we draw logo like this picture using pen tool (shortcut, P) and add white color

Now we remove unnecessary part using pathfinder pallet. Firstly we open pathfinder pallet using this manner (Window ? Pathfinder) Then you can see like this pallet

Step 24

After select logo using selection tool (shortcut, V) and click like below icon overlapping (picture 01) after click a expand button (picture 02).

Then you can see like this logo.

Step 25

Finally draw an ellipse like this picture using ellipse tool (shortcut, L) after selecting add blur effect using this method. (Effect ? Blur ? Gaussian Blur)
